Everyone was pleased and while some ask if mobilization actions really work and I will tell you that just minutes after the action broke up a Tentative agreement was reached. You be the judge! 2004 Cingular Bargaining Updates SECOND TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED BETWEEN CINGULAR AND CWA DISTRICT 6 5/7/2004 Cingular Wireless and the Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 6 today announced that they have reached a Tentative Agreement on a labor contract covering bargained-for employees in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. The agreement will be presented to Union members for ratification starting next week. "Once again, Cingular and the CWA Have proven that we are capable of working together to reach an agreement in the best interests of employees, the business, and Cingular customers," said Andy Milburn, Vice President of CWA District 6. Cingular Vice President – Human Resources Operations and Labor, Lew Walker, praised the bargaining teams for their quick action to reach an agreement. "The open dialogue and willingness to work together were again highly evident throughout this second bargaining session," said Walker. "We appreciate the hard work of the Bargaining Committees on both sides of the table." Bargaining resumed Thursday, May 6, after a first, Tentative Agreement was not ratified by Union members. Bargained-for employees in CWA District 6 have continued to work under a day-to-day extension of the previous labor contract. CINGULAR BARGAINING FINAL REPORT 5/7/2004 The CWA District 6 Bargaining Committee reached an agreement with Cingular management today. The Tentative Agreement includes: · Establish a multilingual differential in all call centers. · Ratification bonus of $300.00. · Retroactivity from May 2, 2004 · Extension of all Tentative Agreements and Memoranda of Agreements regarding working conditions on March 2, 2004. We will provide additional information at the Cingular Bargaining Unit Meeting on May 11, 2004 in Austin, Texas. Locals are to report the results of their ratification to the District Office by noon Friday, May 28, 2004. As your Bargaining Committee, we support the ratification of this Tentative Agreement.

2004 Cingular Bargaining Updates CINGULAR BARGAINING REPORT #22 5/7/2004 May 6, 2004 The CWA District 6 Bargaining Committee met with Cingular management this morning and late throughout the night. We submitted the following proposals to the Cingular team: 1. Establish a bi-lingual differential. 2. Populate the Customer Service Representative II title in all call centers. 3. Increase wages for all Information System Technicians. 4. Upgrade all Customer Service Representatives to similar wages as Dallas Call Center Representatives. 5. Include retroactive pay from February 29, 2004. 6. Include all previous Tentative Agreements and Memoranda of Agreements. After a detailed discussion, Management requested a recess to evaluate all of the above proposals. 2004 Cingular Bargaining Updates Bargaining Update 5/3/2004 Discussions this morning between top levels of CWA and Cingular have resulted in an agreement to reconvene negotiations. The Union and the Company bargaining committees are scheudled to begin meeting on Thursday, May 6, 2004.

2004 Cingular Bargaining Updates CWA is asking that it's members go into a Cingular Agent (not the Corporate Store locations listed below) store this weekend (May 1 & 2) wearing your CWA shirts on to make your presence known but do not talk Union business. Ask about your bills, if you currently have Cingular service, or if you do not ask general information questions about Cingular service and if you have service activated, please do that at the Corporate Stores (listed below) because members are being written up because they don't have enough activations. Please DO NOT have service activated at an agent store because these people are not CWA members. These would be any of the locations that ARE NOT listed below. Also see this attachment for all DFW store locations if you are not in the Fort Worth area and are looking for a Corporate Store where CWA members work to get service activated or picket if a strike is called. Members picket outside Cingular Store!

2004 Cingular Bargaining Updates Cingular Members Ratify New National Health Plan 4/20/2004 April 19, 2004 In ratification results announced April 19, by the American Arbitration Association, CWA members at Cingular Wireless have approved a new National Bargained Health Plan which replaces two existing plans covering 22,000 employees across the country. The tally was 1,421 votes to approve the new plan and 1,243 votes against. The plan, which takes effect January 1, 2005, guarantees that the company can't change benefit terms before January 1, 2009, and even then, it must bargain changes with CWA. "That's important," President Morton Bahr noted, "because Cingular has been trying to cut our health benefits and raise out-of-pocket costs, forcing CWA to fight these attempts through arbitration, with no guarantee of success."

2004 Cingular Bargaining Updates Ratification Process for National Health Plan 4/1/2004 Cingular Members Only: Ratification Process for National Health Plan Balloting materials were mailed on March 31, 2004 to CWA Cingular members from the New York Offices of the American Arbitration Association, which is handling the ratification. The envelopes are marked "Urgent" and clearly describe the contents. The packets contain a detailed description of the proposed National Health Plan along with voting instructions. Members are being given a deadline of Noon, April 14, 2004 to cast their vote. Members may vote either by telephone or over the Internet in a simple and secure procedure. Each member has been sent a unique PIN number with the voting instructions, and the PIN number will be entered along with the last four digits of the member's Social Security number when the vote is cast. The voting process is open 24 hours a day up until the deadline. Any members who did not receive a ratification packet or who have questions about the process may call the AAA help line at 800-529-5218 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time. Or they may send an email to Jeff Zaino of the AAA at: zainoj@adr.org. Note that members should allow a reasonable time for mail delivery before requesting another ratification packet.
