2004 Cingular Bargaining UpdatesCingular Bargaining Report #16 3/2/2004 March 1, 2004 Bargaining continued over the weekend and on Monday, March 1, the CWA and Cingular reached agreement on all outstanding items with the exception of health care. The Company's retrogressive shifting of medical costs to the employees was not adequately addressed and further discussions on this issue will continue in Atlanta, Georgia. Although progress has been made, health care remains one of our primary goals. There will be no Agreement until this matter is resolved. We must stand in Unity and Solidarity, by saying: "Health Care Is Important To Our Families". Your bargaining committee is fighting for justice and equality for you and your families. Please join us and continue the mobilization efforts. Remember United We Bargain, Divided We Beg. Further updates will be provided as they become available. In unity and solidarity, Your CWA Bargaining Committee |

2004 Cingular Bargaining UpdatesCINGULAR BARGAINING REPORT #15 3/1/2004 FEBRUARY 27, 2004 Negotiations continued today with full committees from CWA and Cingular. During the bargaining session, management presented us with counter proposals which we still considered inadequate. However, the Company is moving closer to some of our demands. An extension has been agreed upon by both parties which will allow negotiations to continue beyond the expiration date of the contract. We will continue negotiations until we reach an acceptable agreement. OUR OVERALL OBJECTIVES REMAIN THE SAME: - AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE - ADEQUATE PAY RAISES - ASSURANCE OF JOB SECURITY Don't we deserve more than the 'pennies' Cingular is offering? Your mobilization efforts and continued support have helped us tremendously during bargaining. UNION BROTHERS AND SISTERS, PLEASE, KEEP UP ALL YOUR HARD WORK - YOUR MOBILIZATION EFFORTS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL!!! THE MEMBERS SENT CINGULAR A MESSAGE 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH'. WE WON'T TOLERATE TAKEBACKS!!! In solidarity, Your CWA Bargaining Committee |
